5. Strategies

a. Educate road users in relation to the priority of emergency medical services vehicles.

b. Improve the coordination of Emergency medical services personnel with other support and rescue agencies (TIM).

When EMS coordinates plan strategies with the SHSP, its own agenda advances due to the visibility obtained through the SHSP security stakeholders and the support they provide to the EMS strategies. EMS officials should know that SHSP sets priorities in terms of road safety, including improvements to EMS. "Benefits of SHSP: An EMS system committed to the SHSP process is essential to reduce deaths and serious injuries due to traffic accidents on public roads."
